This managed to keep me from falling too deep into depression today. Don't ask me how.

Well, trying to last here my third and last time...
Thanks for that. Who it's meant to represent aside, I seem to naturally feel drawn to music that can best be described as "haunting".

Screw it...As of now, I'm giving up on the fandom like I should've done many years ago...

On second thought, since I was hoping you two would leave your thoughts there...
Have you even played Disney Infinity, toxicdolls? I have, and sometimes I think Randy was only labeled as a villain in it because there was no one else in the franchise who was popular. For one, you do NOT fight him at any point in the MU playset, an apparent contrast to other playsets in Disney Infinity. As for the marketing, how much have you seen for MU? Randy is shown for a lot of it, and was FAR more likely to be seen than Johnny.

I realize that I'm kind of encouraging an argument with you two by saying what I did, just like I feared. That being said, I'm dropping the subject, though I would suggest looking at my first post in the other thread to understand why I get so worked up easily...

Again, though, Randall was not the only criminal in MI, nor was he the only one who attempted murder, even if Mike and Sulley did do so to him as an act of revenge.
Also, I have serious doubts that he is pure evil like you two seem to be implying: if that were the case, then, again, what was the first third of MU about, other than Mike and Randy once being friends themselves?

While you do have a point when it comes to tensions between the three, the thing is, Randall was not the only criminal in MI. Aside from Sulley and Mike banishing him as an act of revenge (which may have also been a successful murder, depending on any verdict we hear in a sequel), I think a lot of haters also forget about the involvement of Waternoose, who WAS arrested.

My contact is actually just a friend. However, he did speak to one of the guys at the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor attraction, which is where he got the info.
I do agree when it comes to their other franchises: honestly, I felt Toy Story 2 should've ended those movies.

You're not alone there, actually. One reason I love the soundtracks to the first two Terminator movies is because the music for the first especially was pretty creepy stuff at times.

I think it's time I come clean and explain why I'm so abnormally emotional about this character.
I acknowledge I can get overly passionate over Randy, and one HUGE reason for it is his appearance. I love reptiles to the point that I hate it when they're deliberately vilified in movies especially, and I think everyone here has noticed this reality in ways ranging from Harry Potter to Anaconda. It wasn't uncommon for me to burst into tears over such movies in the past, because one thing I know about hate is that, at least in the case of animals, it increases the chances of them getting slaughtered without any sensible provocation.
So you can easily imagine my reaction when I saw MI early on: initially, I actually HATED the movie, and was REALLY upset about it for its demonizing reptiles via Randall, and I guess what keeps me from moving on is the chance that he isn't pure evil, something I was hoping would've been more obvious to others with MU than it apparently was...
If it cheers his haters up any, I've been considering abandoning the fandom on and off ever since I tried Tumblr, partially because of my fears that he will be dead as a villain. I know it's not exactly faithful to the fandom, but frankly, I'm getting sick of torturing myself like this, especially when I have more important things to do like my music...

Likewise half of the tine, N1S. The habit especially sucks for me, though, because there ARE things I should be doing; I just don't have the motivation for them.

Hmmm, when I think about this idea more I honestly don't want there to be another film.. mostly because I like where things were left off in MI. I mean it gives the fans so much wiggle room to decide for themselves what happens (Like Sulley/Randall shippers can decide that he comes back, is forgiven and they fall in love) But if another movie came out they might give Sull some sort of love interest, or give Mike children! (It will be Flounder from the littler mermaid having kids all over again!)or maybe Randall will have died! (Not that that will stop shippers lol) No matter what they did in the new movie, one part of the fanbase will end up disappointed. Very good point when it comes to which fans would be satisfied with the next movie. Unfortunately, I do have a contact who said that there was a draft for a Monsters sequel script that was pending review, meaning even if that particular script is rejected, there's a very good chance that there will be a third movie, so I guess every fan may need to just sit, watch, and pray the story goes their way.

I have actually never downloaded anything on itunes myself. But yeah I aim to get the special stuff some day. Really, polkadots? That's impressive: iTunes is close to a monopoly when it comes to digitally buying (over streamiing like Spotify) mainstream music. XD
