I play video games, Pokemon mostly. (I am super bummed that I actually completed the 4th Gen pokedex... and then my DS was stolen so I lost all my shinies and events. I got a replacement DS after saving up, but I only have a few shinies, the best one is Bulbasaur which I got in a trade. I think Genesect is the only event poke I have now.
I'd like to trade with people online again, but the GTS for Black/White, Diamond/Pearl/Plat etc. is going away and you need the new Pokemon Bank and 3DS for X/Y. It will probly take me another year at least to get a 3DS cause I have so many bills to pay I can't save money easily.)
I would definitely consider pokemon my hobby though. It's still fun, played it all through from elementary school til now. It's sort of surreal to think that Ash Ketchum was once OLDER than me, and now I'm a little more than twice Ash's age.

He was Fred Flintstone in the live-action Flintstones movie. He was also in Arachnophobia, which was is a horror comedy. I have heard him in several animated movies. I especially liked him as Pacha in The Emperor's New Groove, he and David Spade were really funny together.

I like Frozen, but it's not my favorite Disney movie. Had it been released in a different year (when it faced stiffer competition), I would not have minded it winning so many awards. I just feel that some of the competing movies were overlooked.
The Oscars really bugged me because in that case, most of the voters/critics hadn't even bothered to watch Cloudy With Meatballs 2, Monsters Uni, or Despicable Me 2. Some of them hadn't even seen Frozen yet but still assumed it must be good because it's Disney.
But the Oscars results seldom match my opinions anyway. (I was disappointed when Brave beat out Wreck-It-Ralph because I felt Ralph had a stronger message, more interesting art styles- such as depicting the cast as 16-bit characters for 'in game' moments- and I absolutely adored hearing "When Can I See You Again?" by Owl City. Brave was not a bad movie, but it felt less risky, more formulaic and I didn't connect with Merida's problems the way I did with Ralph and Vanellope.)
The Kids' Choice Awards mattered to me for about 10 years, but Nickelodeon is not such a big deal to me now. If this had happened a few years ago, I probly would have been complained more. ^^;

Pixar has better animation, and on average I guess that Pixar's movies are of higher quality, but Dreamworks is a lot more progressive! As mentioned before, Kung Fu Panda and Kung Fu Panda 2 are amazing. Did you know that Kung Fu Panda 2 is the highest grossing film ever directed by a woman? Jennifer Yuh Nelson's achievement is particularly impressive when you consider that she's a woman of color, given that Hollywood is astoundingly sexist and racist. And have you seen Turbo!? Turbo is really obviously a transgender narrative, given the whole thing with Turbo's name, and Chet insisting that liking racing was unnatural for a snail, and Paz was originally going to be canonically a trans woman! Turbo is so important! Also, a much larger proportion of the cast than in most movies for the Kung Fu Panda movies and Turbo are POC. Wile I concede that in general Pixar has higher quality in animation and writing, and fewer of their movies are flops, Dreamworks definitely deserves recognition! Wow. I really like the Kung Fu Panda series, and thought KFP 2 managed to improve on an already good franchise but I didn't know it was the highest grossing film directed by a woman. I haven't seen Turbo yet, but I heard good things about it so it's on our Netflix queue. I don't remember what studio made Robots (CGI film starring Robin Williams) but it had a trans character in it (a male robot is given a female body at one point and embraces the change.) I'll look to see if Robots is on Netflix too because it's been years since I saw it and I don't recall all the plot points.

That is kind of annoying. Sadly, I don't vote in Kids' Choice Awards any more. I think I last voted in 2010, when I still met the teen qualifications.
Because you can vote via text message (in addition to the Nick website), I'm sure that some fans stuffed the ballot to ensure Frozen won. Frozen is good, but it's not THAT popular with the Nick demographic. Despicable Me 2 seemed to be a bigger hit with really young kids (my nephews like the Minions) and MU seems to have a bunch of teenage fans. Parents tended to like Frozen alot, but parents shouldn't be the ones calling in votes.

I think 'changing yourself to be better' is actually a more common theme in Don Bluth movies. All Dogs Go To Heaven: Charlie learns to care about Anne-Marie, to be more honest, to take responsibility, and to value someone else's life about his own. In the beginning he just saw Anne-Marie for her potential to make money, he didn't care whether he lied as long as he was having fun, and he was VERY specific about not wanting to die.
The Land Before Time: Cera learns to be less haughty and to accept help from others, not just ridicule their ideas. Petrie has to let go his fear of flying in order to help his friends. Littlefoot has to learn to accept his mother's death and not blame the victim. (He does not have this discouraged attitude for too long, but he does go through a period of grief and depression.) Littlefoot also has to learn to open himself up to friendships again, since he rebuffs Ducky the first time she greets him.
Anastasia: Dmitri learns about honesty and love through his interactions with Anya. Anya learns to stop thinking about the past and to enjoy the present. To a lesser extent, Bartok realizes he doesn't want to work with Rasputin if it means killing anyone and quits a life of villainy. They don't spend as much time on his epiphany, though.
An American Tail: There's an overall message about not giving up hope, but it's more Papa Mousekewitz who needs to learn the lesson as he refuses to believe Fievel could have survived being washed overboard. It's only when he sees Fievel's hat that he FINALLY is willing to hope for the best, instead of thinking that looking for Fievel is a lost cause. The family is only reunited when Papa sincerely contributes to the search, by playing his violin again so Fievel can follow the sound back.
There may be more examples of this in other films, but I do think Don Bluth movies especially tended to emphasize personal growth and maturity, rather than have characters stick to a certain viewpoint throughout the films.

I don't own this, but I saw it on Hot Topic's web page. It is unfortunately out of stock and was never at our mall. (Though we do have a bunch of Adventure Time merch in Hot Topic.) They originally sold it for $30 and apparently these are fully functional headphones. If any collector wants to try looking for them, I wish y'all the best of luck. Those Sulley headphones sure look awesome, I'd be curious to learn if the sound quality is any good.

It's hard to choose, because he's done so many roles (besides Mike Wazowski) but I really like him as Mitch Robbins in City Slickers.
*spoilers? It's an old movie.* He's struggling with alot of complicated emotions but he's still a good-hearted man and a loyal friend. He's completely out of his element on the cattle drive, at first, but he and the dude ranch owner Curly slowly gain and understanding and even a bit of respect for each other after Mitch has to help deliver a baby calf, Norman.
Ohmygosh, the scenes with Mitch and Norman are just so sweet! I have to admit, the first time I saw it, I was worried Norman would be hurt or killed when he got swept up in the river but Mitch managed to save him. The ending with Mitch returning from vacation and being just so thrilled to see his family again is really cute too.
Billy Crystal does reprise his role in City Slickers 2 but unfortunately the sequel is not as good. Still I recommend City Slickers as a great family film with vivid characters and a good blend of serious and comedic moments.

I dunno, maybe you could call one school "Yell" and it would be the equivalent of Yale, a really prestigious school, with an even better reputation than MU. Perhaps the event would actually be set at Yell. "Beastly" instead of Berkeley could work too.

Yeah I really don't think they wanted to give the character's canon ages, they just wanted to make fun movies. Speculation is cool, but it's just speculation. I've got my own theories, but at this point, I'd rather just say Randall's having a birthday today and have fun with it.
(Too bad I didn't finish any art of him today. I'll keep at it and maybe I'll complete it soon...)

Johnny reminds me a bit of Bradley Uppercrust III from An Extremely Goofy Movie. Same taste in clothing, same overconfidence about their ability to win a sporting competition, same role as rival to the protagonist's underdog team. I've got to look and see if I can find the tumblr post comparing Johnny Worthington to Gaston and Chet to Lefou (Beauty And The Beast.) That was pretty funny. I made that post! It's the highest number of notes I've ever had. inyourdisneydreams.tumblr.com/post/55382666332/am-i-the-only-one-who-sees-this-connection Over 2000 NOTES! Johnny sort of reminds me of Gaston but Gaston is worse of a jerk than Johnny. They do look similar by looks and personality, but at least Johnny isn't sexist like Gaston is. Oh wow. Congrats, hopefulartist. 2000+ notes is a huge landmark and it was a really funny comparison.
