The legend of Aang (Or The Last Airbender) is one of my favourite shows. The Legend of Korra isn't something I'm quite as enamored with but I adore this show. My favourite character is Aang the main character who is an adorable happy twelve year old who breaks your heart by having the weight of the world on his shoulders- but luckily he has great friends to help him out.
I pretty much love almost everyone in this show and it's pretty damn fantastic.
Here for reference is another character I love: Iroh. The Uncle of the first main antagonist Zuko and all around tea lover and fantastic character. He's pretty instrumental to his nephew's character development as well as being utterly loveable himself:

Seriously, this is one of the best animated TV shows ever created! I still can't believe it's been 9 years since it first premiered.

(Spoilers for those folks who haven't seen it! I known ingunnsara is planning on seeing it,so look away if you don't want to be spoiled!)
Yes it's been a long time. Still great though you notice especially in book one certain... animation errors- ah well. They did a great story overall though! I pretty much loved almost everyone. I guess I didn't care much for Ozai though in the end- he was a bit generic. (Azulon his grandfather- the Fire Lord who kick started the war- was more interesting, because despite his culture being based on Japan Azulon seemed to espouse 'White Man's burden- esque' bullcrap to justify himself which is kind of interesting as opposed to Ozai I guess whom we didn't know much about save the fact he probably got his wife to kill his dad and all for power- his children and brother Iroh were just much more interesting I suppose. Heh).
Also combustion man was pretty much meh too. But besides that I can't think of any characters I disliked! Almost everyone was interesting.
I started off liking Iroh only at first- he was hilarious- but Aang and Zuko won me over in the Storm and The Blue Spirit. I came to love Aang though through the season one finale though. Because well he saved Zuko and also this damn scene with my favourite (and utterly creepy) one shot character Koh:
(For those not in the know, Aang has to betray no emotion here while asking information or Koh will steal his face away). And it would be really difficult for Aang too considering his personality. (Guess being a monk paid off though!).

He was so creepy, and his character design was extremely creative.
