Personally, I think a third monsters film needs to be made. While the ending on Mi felt, 'completed' I still think that there might be a bit more to the story. What do you think?

Yeah. I have a feeling it would center around Randall, seeing as MI was Sulley's story and MU was Mike's.

I would like to see another film, though I don't think it will be about Randall, I think he would be in it, just not the main character. I think the new film would be about Boo somehow (Like the rumored film where she moves and they need to find her, eventually running into Randall in the human world) I think Randall would still play the villain though.. maybe out for revenge. Its hard to say since MI has comic books were Randall was found by CDA and got arrested (But escaped), so maybe he would not be in it due to continuity? I dono >0< If they did make another film I would REALLY really want to see Johnny, I want to see how he aged! no one else aged very well given only 10 years passed between films.. but I think we are more lilkly to see Randall again then we are Johnny U_U

I would like to see a third movie and it would probably be about Boo like her growing up and maybe going on another adventure in the monster world since she was little the last time

I wouldn't mind it; I'm fine with what we've got but I'd be up for another round. Probably see it more than once in theaters if it's good enough.
I also sorta like the idea of Boo being grown-up and sort of imagining that part of her childhood from MI to be just her imagination; and when she connects again with the monster world it just creates such a shock that she can't believe it was all real. Sort of like the movie Hook, just rediscovering that place long thought to be a work of fiction or imagination. It might be interesting if it were done like that.

That's actually a cool idea plus Sulley would be trying to make her remember the fun they used to have

I'm all for a third film, and it'd be just fine with me if it centered around Randall But Mike and Sulley would still have to play a significant role. But honestly, even if Randall wasn't the center focus, I'd still be happy as long as he was included.

I'd like to see Boo re-discover everything and come back. In the short stories its implied that she goes to the Monster world to visit (there was one where she had her birthday there and got to take home one photo, she picked a blurry picture of Sulley's foot! and showed it to the class, of course it was blurry so no one believed her.)

Hmmm, when I think about this idea more I honestly don't want there to be another film.. mostly because I like where things were left off in MI. I mean it gives the fans so much wiggle room to decide for themselves what happens (Like Sulley/Randall shippers can decide that he comes back, is forgiven and they fall in love) But if another movie came out they might give Sull some sort of love interest, or give Mike children! (It will be Flounder from the littler mermaid having kids all over again!)or maybe Randall will have died! (Not that that will stop shippers lol) No matter what they did in the new movie, one part of the fanbase will end up disappointed.
And to be honest both movies were average on a criticle scale, none of them were very mind blowing or amazing when it came to plot (to quote Mike, the entire first movie was "Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me!", and MU was just an animated kid friendly American pie (Or pick a diff collage movie, they are all the same and had the same cliches in them) To Disney/Pixar standards the movies were not their best. When you bring up Pixar classics MI is like.. the last one people remember. My point is, if they could not make an incredible movie in two times they tried maybe its time to let it go and move on, before they end up with a Mulan 2 esc-sequel. Honestly how many franchises got to a third movie without turning into complete shit?
Maybe I am being too worrysum.. but I feel there are other movie that deserved sequels long before MI (Incredibles, finding nemo)

I want a third movie with a female character focus. Boo would be a good pick.
I don't think Randall would be eligible for a main character...considering he's very much the antagonist.

I think they could make a great movie that centered around Sulley,Mike,Randall and Boo just like the first one did. It could be really interesting to see them all back even if Randall is the villain because she probably wouldn't even remember him..... He might even trick her into believing he's a good guy when really he's out for revenge.

It might make for an interesting movie, but to be perfectly honest, I would be greatly disappointed if they just made Randall the villain again. It'd just be too...predictable I guess? It would kind of make his appearance in MU pointless. They could have just as easily made him a snarky jerk in the prequel, which would have come as no surprise to the viewers. It's like they were trying very hard to make a point about his character not being evil to the core...and then to just bring him back as a villain, hell bent on revenge just makes that point seem moot.

But that's the thing he may see that revenge is just pointless, he could have a point in the movie like the tiger in ice age. He wanted to kill the other guys and baby the whole movie until he pretended to friends with them and then actually started to like them. Personally I like him as a jerk, if he was a jerk in Mu like they intended him to be in early concepts I would have loved it but I like him as a cute nerd as well, it works well with how he is in MI. I don't know I just think it's funny that in MI he seems to think he's a real cool guy but we all know he's probably still a massive nerd.

Obviously Randall isn't going to start out being a nice guy. He's got a lot of crap to work through. And I'd be just fine with him still being a jerk, if just a slightly nicer jerk lol.

Oh fully I would be disappointed if they made him some perfect hero, he should totally be like the snarky friend that won't admit that he likes anyone but everyone knows he does. Him and Mike could have some really funny moments I think.
