What are your thoughts on Boo's parents? Personally I think her parents were pretty dumb to not notice that there child was missing. Either that or they did realize that she was missing and did try to get help about it. What do you guys think?

I like to think that they did notice she had disappeared and tried to find her, maybe contacted the police and put out an Amber Alert, we just didn't see that part of the movie. MI was focused on Boo's adventure in the monster world, and didn't really show what happened in her house while she was missing.
I guess it's possible that Boo's parents were never aware she was gone, but I prefer to think that they were worried and did make an effort to find her.

As savefearow said, the entire movie was centered in the monster world and on Boo's adventures with Mike and Sulley. We didn't see what was going on back in her home. Her parents likely did notice she was missing, we just didn't get to see it. Some people have actually explored this idea in fanfics.

In the MI film at least a few days pass by. I am pretty sure they were worried for her. |

I'm sure they must have noticed that their kid was missing, but naturally they couldn't show that in the movie because it would have been too hectic.
It's a tricky thing even writing in fanfics, too - if you've got a human OC who visits the monster world, it's tough getting around the "how does their family not notice" thing.
I actually read a fanfic one time in which Boo's parents were invited by Sulley and Mike to go to the Monster world, lol.
