If you could add anything to Monsters University what would it be? Personally I would have added more time of the other fraternities and sororties. I really would have loved to see the JOX and HSS get more screen time. And even the EEK too. I would enjoy seeing the others fleshed out as much as some. It would help make for a better variety of more in depth characters. Plus you'd have more availability to reaction images for your mu character.

More screen time for Randall, More of johnny's and sulleys friendship. I would have liked to seen Sulley's dad too, you know since he was mentioned so much. I also wished that Sulley was the focus of Mu, that scene when his dad left him and his mother is so sad. MU should have been 2 1/2 hours instead of 1

I would have like to see Mike and Sulley act more like their MI selves(Sorry but they changed SO dramatically from MI that it just annoys me..) Randall's change was explained and we saw a bit of MI Randall at the end, the others didn't (Watching the two movies back to back it is obvious that Pixar hadn't planned out their backgrounds during the making of MI and just threw a story together for MU). Actually its interesting because they were SO much more in character in the deleted scenes/concepts. Sulley was a shy, dumb kid with a big heart who just wanted to play by himself (not a popular, egotistical monster willing to cheat), while Mike was a wise talker and a show off (as he was in MI) So I'd like to have seen that change, but I guess that's not much of an add on XD
Honestly first thing I would add would be to see how the other Frats and sororities did during the scare challenges, the second game we literally saw nothing of HSS, PNK and ROR when I wish we could have saw how they all got their flags (and why EEK was so far behind!) I want to know how the hell Johnny was hiding in that house and see the RORs use team work to get the flag, (or Johnny cower from the painting of a teenage girl Harhar)
So yeah, basically more of the other teams during the games, or just in general.

I totally agree. The personalities in MU were so flipped that i refused to see the movie when it came out While it does still bother me a bit, I regret not seeing it in theaters with my friend. Ughh worst mistake I have ever made. While Randall's personallity flip was..I guess cute? I kind of disliked that fact they tried to make him sympathetic. I love Randyy personally, but just like you said, the backgrounds of the characters were just so randomly thrown together that it really didnt make any sense.

I can see where you are coming from Toxic. That sudden change would annoy people. But then again they were younger back then so I would presume they acted differently but that is my assumption. And honestly i would love to see all that too. Plus how the JOX got there gel. Seriously, where did they get it?

I also didn't like the sympathetic story they gave Randall. It bugs me the most when people try to blame MI Randall's actions on Sulley, Mike or Johnny. Although I don't think Johnny was very nice to Randall, I still think it was Randall's choice to become how he was, all Johnny did was give him a taste of the good life and Randy enjoyed it so much that when he lost it (by losing to Sull) he took it a little too hard. It seems like all the characters that showed up from MI had a pattern, they were all polar opposites from their MI counterparts XD (Well, besides George I guess) Even Randall had a more realistic concept art, with him being a big show off and condescending to Mike. (I dono if you have the concept book, but you could probably google it if not and see his pictures lol)

Well.. it didn't ruin the movie for me, It's just sort of something that I think of a lot and realize that continuity wise the movie is not very loyal to Monsters Inc. I get that they changed, but the changes were too big, Mike turned from a super geeky, determined fan boy into an egotistical, smooth talking, forgetful guy with little work ethic. and Sulley who seemed like an introverted, humble, push over with a huge heart was an extrovert in MU, sort of a Bully to Mike, and not very humble. But who knows, I am in Uni now, maybe I will make a dramatic change and end up coming back to this thread in 10 years to correct myself X3 Roy worked his magic. (I wish there were more JOX too!)

And when people try to blame mike and sulley for Randall's actions. That topic is the worst! Sulley and Mike were clearly in the right. Randall was being violent, and continued to attack the two, he could have quit after being punched unconscious, but he was a presistent threat, so they had to get rid of him some how. Not to mention that they knew humans were not toxic at that point, and Randall could easily come back the way they had a few scenes before. There other option was beating Randall until he was to hurt to run after them anymore, they took the better rout in my opinion. Also when they say that the monster world wouldn't even consider human kidnapping a crime XD Like Randall would have just been slapped on the wrist and let go free.

Yeah I love that deleted s rne with Sulley in fourth grade, so aforbs
Also I wish the drama class thing had been added in as I love that deleted s nee since it's hilarious and sweet plus Claire liked Sulley, why else would she suggest he be a bunny, a big cuddly bunny?
And the recon deleted scene too
That sucks people think Mike w d Sulley mace Randall go bad as that wasn't true as they had to throw Randy through the door as he was being evil
