I would too say Brave. The first half of the movie was good, but the second half was just meh. Cars 2 also isn't that good but a least it was entertaining to watch, I got bored after watching brave for a while.

Well, in general I tend to panic in overwhelming situations, so a huge monster who can be loud like Sulley or Johnny would probably scare me the most. However, if the monsters somehow found out that, in the year 2001, a certain very foolish and dinosaur-obsessed little seven-year-old girl had managed to convince her father to let her watch Jurassic Park, and was so determined to tough it out and hide her fear that she ended up watching the whole thing including the part with Samuel L.'s severed arm and the kitchen scene, and for months afterward would wake her parents up in the middle of the night crying that there were Velociraptors under her bed, then during those months Randall or another reptilian monster with prominent sharp teeth could get a whole lot of scream energy if they were able to do a decent raptor impression. Sorry now all I can imagine is Randall coming into a kids room like this LOL

How about we not have female characters only exist in order to center around male characters? And if we're talking romance, how about we entertain the possibility of queer representation? How about that? I have a lot of trouble talking about the possibilities of future Pixar movies in general because all the ways that they are so very inadequate come bubbling to the surface because they can afford to take risks but they don't. They can afford to have female protagonists, they can afford to have PoC human characters and nonhuman characters who aren't all coded white, they can afford to have disabled characters, they can even afford to have queer representation, but they don't. And because media affects cultural values and Pixar is so prominent, they could change the damn world for the better but they DON'T and it makes me SO ANGRY! Disney classic has the same problem, although Disney tends to be a little better with women and Pixar tends to be better with diverse body types. Nevertheless, they're both funded by a corporation that's made of money, and yet they don't actively pursue better media representation for many groups, which yes, should be a goal in and of itself. Laika actually did take a small risk by revealing that Mitch was gay at the end of Paranorman, and they got attacked a lot for it and it took them a very long time to actually regain the money they spent producing Paranorman because Laika is a small company, but big companies like Disney should be able to afford to have entire movies with queer leads, and they don't. So basically, I feel angry because everyone here is only making suggestions within the narrow range of things that are considered socially acceptable. We're acting as if representing women is a matter of "Well, a lot of people want a female lead, but a lot of people also want Randall to be the lead," as if having another male lead when you could be making a movie about a woman is in any way okay (also, guess what; subplots exist! You could still have a movie where Randall redeems himself without him being the main character. In fact, I would actually like that a lot). And not only that, but now you have the gall to say "Well, if we have a female character, she would probably be a love interest for a male character." Don't you dare. How about we have a female character whose love interest is also a girl. How about we have a female character who, if her love interest is a boy, is still clearly and unquestionably the lead of the film. Or we could have a female character who has no love interest. Or hey, I agree that Sulley seemed a bit more flirty in MU, but mostly when talking to men, so if you want Sulley to have a love interest, he could be queer! How about canon trans characters, including nonbinary characters? These would all be great! It really is important to represent non-straight relationships on screen. Many children grow up to be queer, and it would be really good if the movies they watch stop telling them that being queer is wrong so that when they grow up they don't have a damn crisis. Sorry about the long rant. Im sorry, but please stay on topic here. If you want to talk a bit more about this, please go to the complaints section. Discussions like this can quickly become heated.

You do have a point about the competition and how the fact that the others were prequels/sequels cemented Frozen's win on this, but I disagree that Frozen is objectively better than MU at least. I just don't think Frozen is that good, period. Entertaining, yes, but ultimately not very deep. I just felt like there was a lot of lost potential, a lack of character development, many cliches, and that certain parts were just padding (Olaf and the Troll song). I would rather have had more character development and complexity than those parts tbh. And the Hans bit was too rushed imo. Even superficially, the animation was awkward at times (my brother agrees with me on this at least, but he's the only one other than me who pointed it out), and visually MU tops Frozen by a mile. MU has a lot of hidden nuggets, and I admittedly was meh about it on first viewing (due to loving MI so much) but the more I watched it the more details I noticed and the more I loved it. I feel like even the characters that didn't get a lot of screen time had solid characterization and motivations, and of course more so with the main characters. Frozen was the opposite--I really liked it the first time, but after my second viewing I was already underwhelmed. You could say that Frozen has a good twist at the end, what with the prince being bad and Anna saving her sister, but MU had a nice moral and good twist as well--the protagonists didn't win as expected, Mike and Sulley were booted from MU, Mike never became a scarer, and in a way the antagonists were proven right...to an extent. Yeah, one has some typical college stuff, but the other has some typical Disney princess stuff. I just thought that MU had a lot more worthwhile content and meaning jam-packed in those 2 hours than Frozen did, and all without as much padding (and songs). Ultimately, Frozen is very low on my personal list of top Disney films, but by no means the lowest, and when it comes to Pixar I like Brave better--it's a more unique princess film about a touching mother/daughter relationship that went more in-depth in the relationship than Frozen did with the sister relationship--and Brave is near the bottom of my personal Pixar list. The beginning of Frozen was very good, but the rest of the movie just didn't live up to it. It was pretty disappointing because of that. I agree with you on this one. I re-watched frozen 4 times, trying to see if I missed anything. But I didn't. The first time I heard about it being amazing, I was so eager to see it, but once I saw it in theaters, I asked myself, "did i miss anything? Was this really the same movie people were calling almost as great as the lion king? The movie just seemed so rushed... it took me the 3rd attempt of watching it just to realize that Anna's and Elsa parents died in the beginning lol. In my opinion, there is no emotion or depth, not enough character development, and the plot was just mehh..But I do enjoy Elsa as a character, just wished they explored her more instead of focusing on Anna. Im not saying that Frozen is terrible, it's just that, the pacing was just plain bad..MU felt a whole hour longer than Frozen, despite the fact that Frozen was actually 4 minutes longer. But I do give it credit for the awesome songs, especially the duet with Elsa and Anna. I LOVED the first time in forever song, but I feel like that s the only reason why I keep coming back to the movie. Due to Elsa, and the songs, that is it. Everything else just bored me. While it had a great premise, It was just wasn't explored to it's fullest potential.

I'm such a loser pretty much the only music I like is soundtrack music, I guess I'm just weird that way, and what's worse is that I only like it when is sounds sad or scary. Along with the game, I love the Alice: madness returns soundtrack

I feel a little bad arguing with her because when I created a fanfiction/deviantart account, she WAS the first person to ever leave a positive review. But later I learned we did not have many of the same opinions and she would only like my stories or art if they conformed to her headcanons. So it no longer felt special or encouraging to know she had favorited a few things. I don't feel like that's how writing should be. Sometimes I read stories or watch a movie where what I want or expected did not happen, but they still might have told a good story. I will also add art to my favorites list if I think the drawing is really good, even if they don't feature my favorite characters or pairings, because I believe the artist put effort into their creations and their ideas are valid. I don't really understand where she is coming from and I wish I could have more productive discussions with her but it's just not happening. I don't like arguing with people, I don't think I'm good at debates, I really ought to leave it alone, but it's hard to ignore MU topics. I thought it was a great movie, I've got some opinions, I'd like to share them and if people disagree I hope we can be respectful. I can't shake the feeling that I soon as I disagreed with her the first time, I lost what little respect she had for me, and that's disappointing. But I guess I'm always gonna disappoint somebody. *shrugs* I may follow hopefulartist's lead and stop using/checking the Monsters University tag. Maybe I'll just call tag stuff MU. I used to follow her on deviant art and I do remember having some smooth conversations with her. I agree that she can be nice, but you just have to avoid stating your opinion to her. I don't think you should feel disappointed, if she can't accept the fact that there are people who not going to agree with her then that's basically her problem.

I've never even seen the KCA period the end. Never seemed to interest me when I was a kid, plus I didn't know very many actors, I probably didn't even know who Miley Cyrus was XD In Frozen though, I thought that Olaf was extremely obnoxious. I know everyone else liked him, but I didn't. I wanted to break him :/ The only character that I found in the least bit interesting was Elsa. She is such a tragic character, and that pretty much takes the cake for me. But all the other characters just seemed so insignificant, except perhaps Anna, because she is the victim to all of Elsa's mistake, so that earns her a few points in my book too, she's probably my second favorite. I loved Elsa's character, I wished they focused on her more.

I really liked Frozen! I thought it was funny and cute, and the animation was flawless. Of course I enjoyed MU more, and I think that movie deserved an award too (or at LEAST a nomination for the Oscar's!), but I also kinda think Frozen deserved to win. The most important thing is that WE enjoy MU, and that we can discuss it with lovely, likeminded people! I haven't seen that meatball movie (neither of them), and I thought DM2 sorta sucked. I bought the dvd, and I hardly bothered finishing it. I started drawing when I was halfway through it, lol. Yeah I didn't like DM2 that much either, I fell asleep while watching it lol. Anyways, I don't want to offend anyone, when I said Frozen didn't deserve the winning spot, but MU won 10 awards.. While frozen won over 36 awards plus this the KCA one. In opinion, it has more than enough recognition.

Oh, for the love of God. Why is Frozen so freakin' popular, I mean is was OK, but it is NOT better than MU or DM2. I don't even know what attracted people to it so much. I haven't seen CwaCoM2 yet, but I actually want to see it. I didn't really want to see Frozen, I just saw it because everybody I knew was pointing me in the sides to do it. *sigh* people are crazy O.o I have a weird feeling about this movie, for people to be this crazy over it is a bit scary.

I actually think that dreamworks rendering is alot lower than pixar's. I feel like Dreamwork's doesn't put that much effort in the movies most of the time, well with the expectation of the kung fu panda movies and Shrek 1&2. Pixar seems to put so much more in perfecting every single detail to make it more realistic. Most movies I seen from Dreamworks feels so flat to me... Don't get me wrong, I love dreamworks, but their movie quality concerning animation and storing writing as a whole can range from, bad to excellent. While pixar's films can range from average to brilliant. I actually heard that Pixar does have the ability to make things much more realistic, but they intentionally lower their rendering abilities to give it that more comfortable cartoonish look.

I think I've heard somewhere that the purple polkadots run in the Sullivan family? If that's the case, I guess his father have them too? I'm not sure, though:P Ye I heard that I think it's in a book. It said he got his fur from his mom and his spots from his dad. Do know what book it is?
